The vineyards were first planted in 1906 by the current Nikos Gavalas' great Grandfather and the family tradition continues. In 2001, the vineyard became part of the organic cultivation system. Today the family produces 4 whites, 4 reds and 2 roses of excellent quality. You can visit the winery Mon-Fri between 8:00 and 16:00 and by appointment on weekends.

The Daskalaki family has been producing wine since 1890 in the same location in the village of Siva, 18 km from Heraklion. Today, 70 acres of certified organic vineyards are cultivated using biodynamic farming methods. Emphasis is on local grape varieties in addition to some exciting blends with world cultivars. In recent years, the winery has been awarded 15 medals in various International wine competitions.

A very aesthetic Cava, featuring a number of high quality products. The focus is primarily on wines from top wine-producing countries of the world, as well as from Crete and other areas of Greece. In addition, they have an excellent selection of spirits and are the distributors for Attibassi Italian coffee and Valrhona chocolates. Just opened is their Café & Wine Bar. In the village of Dafnes (which has been producing wines since the 1300\'s) the Douloufakis family has been making top quality, award-winning wines for 3 generations. Both indigenous local and classic old world grape varieties (particularly Italian) are cultivated, some using organic farming methods. There is a modern wine-tasting room open to visitors.
