The name of this quaint „Mezedopoleio” (like a tapas restaurant) means aromas, but is also a play on two words meaning gift to the Gods and pomegranate. The pomegranate theme is prevalent, with the red fruit displayed in paintings, as tabletop candle-holders in addition to the huge pomegranate tree in the quiet courtyard. There are a large number of unique dishes such as the famous Rethymno smoked pork with mushrooms and balsamic sauce or with cabbage and red wine.
