Nestled in the foothills of Mount Dikti, Kroustas Tavern is the lone eatery in this small village. Undoubtedly the best place on the island for staka, probably the richest goat cheese ever. The Chef-owner offers staka on its own, to be spread on bread, or inside an omelet of the freshest free-range eggs. (Editor’s warning- if you fear for your arteries, this is not a diet to follow regularly.)
