The newest incarnation of this taverna, called Liasti (meaning sun-dried) is a sure bet. It is an oasis of calm tucked away at the end of a dead-end street off the busy Evans. In good weather dine under enormous old „Mouria” trees or inside an old house where time has stood still. Everything is excellent and there are many original „sun-dried tomato” house specials such as a pita with pastourma, cheese and sun-dried tomatoes or the salad of wild greens with sun-dried tomatoes, kefalotiri and a fabulous pomegranate vinaigrette. Don’t miss the Pork Hock baked with honey. This is a Chef-owned restaurant, so you can be sure of great food. Sunday lunches have live rembetiko music. Superb value for money.
