A venerable institution in Heraklion offering some of  the best cooked foods (next to a Greek Mother's). Items change daily and the best thing is to walk into the kitchen so they can show you all the delectable foods of that day.  Must trys include the Lamb Fricasée, Artichoke ragout, Baked Eggplant stuffed with feta and the Veal with orzo. Salads are also available, like their Roka salad, which is topped with pomegranate seeds in season. If you don't feel like eating there, take it home like so many Heraklion folks do.

excellent! If i want to pamper myself in Heraklion, this is the place I choose. All times classic values like clean perfectly ironed white tablecloths, a variety of fresh home cooking, staff very kind and professionals. One of the best restaurants I have been in Greece.
