Taverna DIKTAMOS (ΔΙΚΤΑΜΟΣ)

This homey, warm taverna has been around for 10 years, but has recently been taken over by new owners. There are old B&W photos of Greek actors and singers adorning the walls and an overall feeling of being in your Grandmother's home.  On weekend nights live rembetiko music adds to the ambiance. Standard taverna fare is done well and some things exceptionally, such as the simple fried rabbit, crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful inside. The meats, for example such as the apaki (smoked pork) and paidakia (lamb chops) are of good quality.  House wines are light and very drinkable.The owners are always there and service is very friendly and helpful.
