This is now the 2nd season for Coast Med and it is surely becoming a favorite. The setting is deliberately unpretentious even though the location—5 meters from the edge of the sea, with its own beach, is sublime. Cocktails and snacks are served all day on the beach. The restaurant is deliberately casual, but they take their food seriously. Try th shrimp kadaifi to start, then choose your lobster/shellfish live from the their tanks or freshly caught fish or American-style grilled meats. The touch of the well-travelled owner can be seen throughout, but especially in the Lemon Meringue pie—a much-loved dessert not found outside the U.S. There is live jazz every Tuesday night.
