Restaurant SKOUFOS & OINOS (ΣΚΟΥΦΟΣ & ΟΙΝΟΣ)

Great new place that stands out amongst the crowd of taverns and restaurants in and around the old Port of Chania, owned and operated by a team of  2 professionals- one a Sommelier and the other a Chef. The result is a gem of a menu with a small list of offerings so everything can change to reflect the seasons and the local ingredients. There are a number of fabulous pastas-home-made on the premises, with both inspired, innovative sauces and some simple, yet exquisite ones. The tagliatelle with a sauce of fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, a handful of olives makes you feel you are eating Sicily. The salads are original, fresh and inviting and the desserts are worth splurging for. The wine list has a carefully selected assortment of Cretan, Greek as well as sprinkling of new and old world labels. This is one to watch for!
