Taverna GLOSSITSES (ΓΛΩΣΣΙΤΣΕΣ)

Τhis is a relatively new, funky and modern fish tavern/meze eatery toward the end of the row of eateries along the old port.  They have interesting art exhibitions in the gallery upstairs and seating inside and out downstairs.  As befits a fish tavern, most of the starters and mains are fish and seafood-oriented. There are many variations on mussels and shrimp and of course fresh fish of the day. A good starter is the the marinated salmon or  to pick out one that is not from the sea, try the hard-to-find-in-restaurants Manouri cheese baked in phyllo with black sesame seeds and fig marmelade. Limited selection of wines, but white house is a decent bet.
